Every trip on this page leaves on a set date with a set route. Nothing runs until eight travellers are booked on that date. If the group does not reach eight, you switch to another departure at the same price or take a full refund.

Day-by-day itinerary

Four days, four cities, one printed price

Times are local. Hostel nights, intercity trains, the group leader and the mandatory 25 EUR service fee are already inside the total. A departure runs at eight travellers. Student discount: 60 EUR off for ages 18-26 with a valid student ID, checked at check-in.

Day 1Krakow: old town and Wawel6-bed dorm - breakfast
  • 08:10Group meet at Krakow Glowny, platform 2. The leader carries the orange flag. Four minutes on foot to the hostel.
  • 10:00Walking loop of the old town, Rynek Glowny and St Mary's. 2.5 km, flat, cobbles in places.
  • 14:30Wawel Hill. Tram 6 from Plac Wszystkich Swietych, 9 minutes, student fare 1.40 EUR.

Hostel: 6-bed mixed dorm in Kazimierz, linen and breakfast included. Dinner is on your own account.

Day 2Vienna: market and Prater8-bed dorm - breakfast
  • 07:40Intercity train Krakow to Vienna, 6 h 10 min, seat reserved for each traveller.
  • 15:00Naschmarkt walk then free time. 1.8 km on foot, U-Bahn U4 for the return.
  • 19:30Hostel kitchen open to 22:00. Optional Prater ride priced separately on site.

Hostel: 8-bed dorm near Westbahnhof, city tax 2.60 EUR per night is not included.

Day 3Budapest: Danube and baths6-bed dorm - breakfast
  • 08:20Train Vienna to Budapest, 2 h 40 min. Metro M2 from Keleti, 6 stops.
  • 13:00Danube embankment walk to the Shoes on the Danube memorial, 3 km, level ground.
  • 17:00Szechenyi thermal baths. Student entry handled by the leader, towels not provided.

Hostel: 6-bed dorm in the Jewish Quarter, breakfast included, padlock needed for lockers.

Day 4Prague: bridge and departure10-bed dorm - breakfast
  • 09:00Train Budapest to Prague, 6 h 50 min, arriving mid afternoon. Tram 9 from Hlavni nadrazi.
  • 19:00Charles Bridge at dusk, then a 2 km walk through Mala Strana, some stairs.
  • 22:00Late check-out agreed for the morning. Group dissolves at Prague main station at 11:00.

Hostel: 10-bed dorm in Zizkov, breakfast included. Luggage room free on departure day.

Every departure on the ledger follows the same booking terms. The deposit is fixed, the balance date is printed on your confirmation, and the cancellation ladder below applies to each trip in the programme.

How a booking runs

  1. 01

    Deposit 60 EUR per traveller

    The deposit holds your seat for 14 days and is deducted from the tour total. It is a part payment, not an extra charge.

  2. 02

    Balance 21 days before departure

    The remaining amount is due 21 days before departure. A reminder goes out 7 days earlier to the email used at booking.

  3. 03

    Confirmed at 8 travellers

    A departure is confirmed once the minimum group size of 8 is reached. Before that it stays open and you may switch dates at no cost.

  4. 04

    Student rate checked at check-in

    Travellers aged 18 to 26 with a valid student ID or enrolment document get 60 EUR off trips of 7 nights or more.
